CrowdStrike Fal.Con SEP2 Team

CrowdStrike Fal.Con Europe 2024

The first inaugural CrowdStrike Fal.Con Europe 2024 took place in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, welcoming over 1,600 attendees, including the enthusiastic SEP2 team! This event was packed with groundbreaking content, inspiring keynotes and networking opportunities, all designed to foster innovation and collaboration in the cyber security industry.

“CrowdStrike’s first European Fal.con has set a new standard as one of the premier vendor conferences in Europe for 2024/25. The opportunity to network with CrowdStrike’s leadership team and connect with peers across their entire ecosystem provided an exceptional platform for learning and exchanging ideas.

Fal.con Europe 2025 will undoubtedly be the must-attend event of the year!”

Tim Ward, CRO

The SEP2 team found the keynote speeches and breakout sessions to be insightful and enlightening. Many senior CrowdStrike members were present, openly discussing the roadmap, challenges, and solutions, which enriched the entire experience. Here are some of our key takeaways from the event:

  • Project Kestrel: CrowdStrike’s new UI, named Project Kestrel, features a fresh design and the ability to create custom widgets.
  • Patching: CrowdStrike announced a forthcoming patching solution as part of ‘Falcon for IT,’ which will set them apart from the rest of the market by covering both vulnerability management and patching.
  • Flex: CrowdStrike’s new Flex license model enables customers to purchase credits and allocate them across various modules, similar to the hyperscaler model, reflecting a commitment to flexible spending.
  • Falcon Exposure Management: This product group now includes Network Vulnerability Assessment, which allows for remote scanning of assets, complementing agent-based scanning by Spotlight.

The SEP2 team also had a fantastic time connecting with customers and industry peers at Fal.Con, including enjoying dinner with our valued customers from Sunbelt Rentals UK after the event.

CrowdStrike is constantly and rapidly evolving within the industry. With its extensive functionality and depth, it’s a standout platform that SEP2 is proud to partner with. Recently awarded Partner of the Year by CrowdStrike, the SEP2 team is excited to apply the knowledge and strategies gained from Fal.Con to their ongoing efforts in cyber security. We are looking forward to the next Fal.Con and continuing our strong partnership with CrowdStrike.

“I really enjoyed my time at Fal.Con. It was my first time attending a partner-led event, and I was incredibly impressed with the whole experience. From the keynote speeches to the live demos, everything was top-notch. I’m already looking forward to attending again next year.”

Kieron

Central Response Team Manager

Kieron has been with SEP2 since 2019 and works in our support team.

For Kieron, there is no typical day at SEP2, for one day he can be working through open tickets, another day you could be working on a priority case for the duration of the day, and another day you could be working on an ongoing project, but what Kieron enjoys is that the mix of challenges keeps the role fresh and interesting.

Kieron likes that within the support team everybody works well together, and shares knowledge between every level and are constantly being encouraged to learn.

In his spare time, Kieron’s current favourite hobby is working on his allotment, which gives him a nice change of scenery and a break from technology.
